It was just a typical day in Heaven. The shine of the new God glowed bright and filled today’s air with a sense of peace. As I walked around my white, fluffy cloud I saw King Angels approach from not too far. Their heads were down in pain as they kept coming closer. This wasn’t the first time they had come around my cloud. They had taken Blithe and Jaunty the days before and they never came back home. I missed Blithe’s way of making everyone smile and Jaunty’s gleeful presence. These King Angels were meant just to escort angels to the God to be praised, but ever since we had our God replaced angels have gone missing.
I thought about Blithe’s tan, golden fur and Jaunty’s deep blue as I finally heard The King Angels step onto my cloud. In self defense I growled at them but they kept their heads down and the one on the left with the white head and gray body motioned me off my cloud and to follow them. I was scared to say none the least. Where were their happy laughter and their always good moods I hadn’t seen in a while?
“My name is Buoyant and on my left is Brash.” He pointed to the Yellow wolf with white and blue streaks in his fur. After the introduction, we walked a while and the air only got more eerie every time they muttered something to each other, and for a second I could have sworn I heard the yellow wolf say execute.
I finally got the guts to say, “Where are we going?!” after I noticed that we were only heading father onto rain clouds and away from the God’s light.
&#147 Please calm down. We don’t want to hurt you but God Bliss says you’re a danger to Heaven so we are locking you away for a while. Don’t try to run or we will kill you.” Once he finished talking in his melancholy voice, he turned his head to me. His eyes were a deep blue but they seemed lifeless and he had dark bags under his eyes. He looked tired and angry for a noble King Angel. I froze and looked around finally realizing the giant prison that stood a few trots up ahead. The Gray King Angel sighed and turned to me with tears in his eyes, “Merriment, you have to come! PLEASE! We don’t want anyone else getting hurt!” He practically threw his self at me with rage. I wanted to believe him but I shook my head and quietly whispered, “No…..”
The Yellow King Angel bit down lightly on the Gray wolf’s tail, “lease Buoyant, I don’t like this as much as you do… Please Merriment, follow us…” His voice was deep and full of pride but at times it creaked in hurt.
“I don’t think you heard me… I… I did nothing wrong!” I yelped at the Yellow’s face.
“YOU WILL DO AS HE SAYS! I WILL NOT LET MY FAMILY DIE!” Buoyant barked out.
“You’re…. Family?” I squeaked.
“He took everything from us. Our own God, Bliss, told us you are a threat and if you don’t die, our families will. I don’t want to lose my son or wife and Brash doesn’t want to lose his sister, so please, PLEASE!” I felt the pain he was holding back and so I went. My muscles ached with sorrow but I went.
Every angel was given a name that resembled them. Most names were merely an agitive that resembled them as when they were a living being and Buoyant had no way of being himself. Buoyant meant, not easily depressed, and he was at rock bottom. I couldn’t help but feel pain for him because he was losing everything; I already had nothing left to lose.
